Cruise Packages: Weekend Excursion
Want to jump on a boat and go away for a few days? At Pegasus Charters,
we love to have the opportunity to take people out for a few days so that they can
experience the wonder of “living aboard.”
Life is simple when it’s reduced to you, a boat, and the water.
Your daily stresses just slip away as you leave the Charleston Harbor heading to
your destination. Have some “me” time for once, lay back and read a book, sail the
boat if you want, or dolphin watch. It’s up to you. All multiple-day excursions
come with a Captain, crew, breakfast, lunch and snacks. Dinner is typically on your
own at the port of call. If your destination requires sailing through the night,
dinner will be provided for you as part of the charter cost.

The closest overnight charter is to Bohicket Marina on Seabrook Island.
This is an easy one-day sail with arrival usually around 6 pm at
the marina. If you’d like, many people anchor off of Edisto Island and spend some
time swimming prior to pulling into the marina. This is great for the kids who want
to splash around while the parents enjoy a nice relaxing glass of wine.
Longer charter destinations include Beaufort, Hilton Head and Daufuskie Island.
These places are much further away from Charleston than Bohicket and require longer
travel time. Beaufort is a three-day trip, and
has a beautiful waterfront with shops and restaurants for you to explore. There
is a great park at the waterfront where the kids can run around and play on the
playscape while you sit and enjoy the views of the river.
Hilton Head and Daufuskie Island require at least four days
to allow you time on shore to enjoy the locations. Hilton Head’s most well-known
port is Harbortown with it’s famous lighthouse welcoming you to the marina. Harbortown
offers a variety of shops and restaurants for your enjoyment and the island has
many attractions for you to discover while in town.
Daufuskie Island is across the bay from Hilton Head and is a gem along the South
Carolina coast. There is a new resort on the island, the Daufuskie Island Resort
and Breathe Spa, where you can take advantage of it’s many offerings. Golf carts
are available for rent if you want to get one and explore the island along with
the picturesque town. Daufuskie is a laid back place without a wild nightlife, perfect
for those who want to get away and decompress.
